Background
Antoinette has experience and expertise in handling and resolving general commercial disputes including contract disputes, consumer law disputes, domestic building disputes, statutory demands, bankruptcy, insolvency and retail leasing disputes.
Antoinette has acted in matters in the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), Magistrates', County and Supreme Courts of Victoria and Federal Court of Australia.
Prior to undertaking a career in the law, Antoinette was a corporate senior executive, experienced in business development and marketing. She worked for Shell Australia for 11 years where she progressed from graduate entry to national roles that encompassed national account sales, brand management, franchise management and IT business development. Antoinette was at the forefront of the privatisation of the electricity and natural gas industries, initially preparing government owned utilities for sale and then working as a senior executive for Boral (now Origin Energy) and AGL.
With a wealth of real-world business experience, Antoinette is able to quickly absorb the commercial issues at the heart of a client's dispute and to advise clients on alternative strategies for resolution of the dispute, including negotiated settlements, mediation and court intervention.
