Special Bulletin - Coronavirus (COVID-19)
An update regarding COVID-19 to our valued clients and associates
The rapid escalation in the impact of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) on our community affects all of us. We are closely monitoring developments. There have been no confirmed cases among our staff and our offices in Mount Waverley and the CBD remain open. However we are planning as far as possible for the possibility of having staff work remotely. This may include working from another office or workspace or from home.
At Hicks Oakley Chessell Williams we have been moving towards operating electronically for some years. That is not to say that we are paper-free, but our systems in our different practice areas largely operate electronically. This will allow many staff to operate remotely if required.
Whilst our offices remain open, there are some commonsense practices in place. These include:
- As far as possible, all meetings should take place electronically, by phone or skype. Face to face meetings are discouraged.
- Any face to face meetings should not exceed five people, be held in larger spaces and be as short as possible.
- Anyone who has had any exposure to a confirmed or suspected case of Coronavirus is asked not to attend our offices.
