Chris was admitted to practice in December 2013 and has practised predominately in the areas of Commercial, Construction, Owners Corporation and Property Law.
Chris has experience in assisting clients with building disputes, Owners Corporation disputes, business litigation and commercial disputes, debt recovery matters and settlement of commercial disputes through mediation and settlement conferences.
Chris employs a strong client based approach with an emphasis on commercial outcomes. With a combination of practical and academic experience, Chris is well suited to advise clients on complex commercial matters. He has conducted matters in the Supreme Court, Federal Court of Australia, Federal Circuit Court of Australia, the County Court and the Victorian Civil & Administrative Tribunal (VCAT).
Chris commenced his legal career at a boutique general practice law firm in rural Victoria where he gained valuable hands on experience in a broad range of law. Prior to joining Hicks Oakley Chessell Williams Chris worked at a boutique law firm in Melbourne for four years with a focus on Owners Corporation and Construction Law.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with family and friends, travelling, playing tennis and exploring Melbourne's vibrant food scene.
