David consults in the areas of wills and estates, property and business matters.
David was admitted to practice in Melbourne in 1968. For 27 years he was a Partner in a large Melbourne law firm. In 1997, together with Murray Chessell, he established Chessell Williams to support the substantial following of business and private clients established over many years.
In 2006 Chessell Williams merged with Hicks & Oakley to become Hicks Oakley Chessell Williams. David retired as a Partner of Hicks Oakley Chessell Williams in June 2012, however remains as a Consultant, advising the wills and estates team.
From 1 July 2018, David Williams will continue his consultancy role in the firm on a more flexible basis. He will be available one day each week, and at other times by arrangement.
