Evelyn Wong


Evelyn is a property lawyer with 10 years of experience. She has worked in a commercial law firm where she advised clients on all property related matters. Prior to that Evelyn worked as a State Manager and Head Lawyer of a national conveyancing firm, where she helped build and manage successful conveyancing practices in three states.

Evelyn’s approach to her practice is ensuring that she is able to lead her clients through the transaction smoothly by giving clear advice and being available to her clients. She enjoys building long term relationships with her clients and key stakeholders.

Evelyn now joins Hicks Oakley Chessell Williams in 2021 and brings with her a wealth of knowledge and expertise in a range of property related transactions. Evelyn acts for individuals, high net worth clients, small businesses, developers, private lenders, tenants, landlords and national corporations.

Evelyn assists with all aspects of property matters including:

  • Providing detailed advice in relation to contracts of sale, vendor statements and conducting due diligence
  • Completing all aspects of the acquisition and disposition of residential, “off the plan” and commercial properties
  • Acting for developers on “off the plan” developments and subdivisions
  • Providing stamp duty advice
  • Advising and acting on commercial and retail leasing matters for both tenants and landlords
  • Acting on behalf of private lenders in relation to loan agreements and mortgages
  • Advising on guarantees and providing solicitors certificates
  • Advising and completing transfers such as related party and spousal transfers, transfers from company to superannuation funds
  • Assisting and advising on general property matters
