Kylie Sharp
Expertise
Kylie Sharp was admitted to practice in 2008 and works exclusively in wills and estates law, acting for clients in Melbourne and across Victoria. She joined the Wills & Estates team at Hicks Oakley Chessell Williams in June 2023 and focuses on estate litigation, guardianship and administration, and estate planning for a wide range of personal and family situations.
Kylie has particular experience in estate litigation, including challenges to wills, conducting and defending Part IV family provision claims, and VCAT guardianship and administration matters. Her clients value her empathetic approach, clear explanations of legal processes and her commitment to resolving disputes efficiently to achieve the best possible outcome.
Kylie can assist with all aspects of wills and estates, including:
Family provision claims, applications to remove executors, challenges to will validity, statutory will applications and applications for judicial advice on estate administration
VCAT guardianship and administration applications, and disputes involving powers of attorney, including alleged misappropriation of funds under a power of attorney
Obtaining grants of representation (probate and letters of administration), estate administration and ongoing advice for executors and beneficiaries
Preparing wills and powers of attorney, advising to minimise the risk of claims against estates and providing estate planning advice for complex family arrangements and elder law issues
