Kylie Sharp

Expertise

Kylie Sharp was admitted to practice in 2008 and works exclusively in the area of wills and estates. Kylie joined the wills and estates team at Hicks Oakley Chessell Williams in June 2023.

Kylie has a particular focus and experience in estate litigation including challenges to wills, conducting and defending Part IV claims for further provision and VCAT guardianship and administration matters. Kylie’s clients appreciate her empathetic approach and patience in explaining legal processes and concepts, together with her passion to resolve disputes as efficiently as possible to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients.

Kylie can assist with all aspects of wills and estates, including:

  • Family provision claims, applications to remove executors, challenges to will validity, statutory will applications and applications for judicial advice regarding the administration of estates
  • VCAT guardianship and administration applications and disputes in relation to powers of attorney, including the misappropriation of funds under power of attorney
  • Obtaining grants of representation and estate administration and advice
  • Preparing wills and powers of attorney, advising to minimise the risk of claims against the estate and advising in relation to estate planning for complex family relationships

During her spare time, Kylie enjoys spending time with her young family and friends. She is also passionate about travelling and experiencing different cultures.
