As a Director at Hicks Oakley Chessell Williams, Michelle leads the firm’s operational and business frameworks. Her appointment as a Director in 2025 follows a highly successful tenure as the firm’s General Manager, where she played a pivotal role in streamlining internal systems and elevating client service standards.

Based across our Melbourne and Mount Waverley offices, Michelle is responsible for firm-wide strategy, human resources, and risk management. Her extensive background in the legal sector provides her with the deep insight required to manage a high-performing practice within the complex Victorian legal landscape.

Michelle’s leadership ensures that HOCW’s infrastructure remains robust, efficient, and client-focused. By managing the operational backbone of the firm, she ensures our legal teams are supported by the systems and frameworks necessary to provide clear, strategic, and empathetic guidance to our clients.

About Michelle

In her spare time, Michelle is an avid dragon boat paddler who has represented Australia at multiple World Championships and international regattas. She has proudly served as Captain of the Australian Team on three occasions. Michelle also loves to travel and often combines her passion for paddling with exploring new destinations.
