Samantha Schnabel

Expertise

Samantha is a wills and estates lawyer who enjoys assisting clients with their estate planning and estate administration needs. She prepares both simple and complex wills, including testamentary trust wills, as well as enduring powers of attorney, medical treatment decision maker appointments and advance care directives.

She also prepares binding death benefit nominations (BDBNs) for self‑managed superannuation funds and assists with BDBNs for industry funds. Samantha has experience applying for grants of representation, including probate, letters of administration and re‑seals from foreign jurisdictions, and guiding executors and families through the administration of deceased estates. She also acts in estate litigation, issuing and defending testator’s family maintenance claims (Part IV).

About Samantha

Samantha joined Hicks Oakley Chessell Williams in 2021, bringing four years’ experience from a boutique Bayside law firm. Away from the office, she enjoys playing baseball, reading, creating charcuterie boards and spending time with her family and friends.
