Expertise

Steve is a property lawyer who has practised in both England and Australia and provides experienced assistance across a wide range of property and conveyancing matters. He advises clients on auction contracts, vendor statements, retirement village contracts, buying and selling farms and rural properties, contracts of sale, licence agreements, off‑the‑plan purchases and general property issues.

Steve was an early adopter of PEXA, recognising the benefits of electronic conveyancing for his clients, including quicker access to funds for vendors and faster registration on title for purchasers. His close working relationship with PEXA in its early years gave him the opportunity to provide feedback that helped shape the platform for the broader property industry.

About Steve

Steve qualified as a solicitor in England in 2001 and was a senior property lawyer with TWM Solicitors LLP before qualifying in Australia in 2015. He joined Hicks Oakley Chessell Williams from Boothby & Boothby, bringing significant experience in both UK and Australian property transactions. Outside work, Steve is a huge fan of classic movies and has used his move to Australia as a chance to finally learn how to play golf.
