Expertise
Todd is a Wills & Estates lawyer who assists clients with all aspects of estate planning, deceased estates and estate‑related disputes. He particularly values being able to guide clients through what is often a difficult and confronting time in their lives, working towards clear and successful outcomes in a supportive and structured way.
Todd has established experience in:
Estate and business succession planning of varying complexity, including drafting testamentary trust wills, powers of attorney, appointments of medical treatment decision makers, corporate powers of attorney and superannuation death benefit nominations
Applying for a wide range of grants of probate and letters of administration for simple and complex estates, including urgent ad colligenda bona applications, applications involving copy or informal wills, reseals of overseas grants and the administration of those estates
Issuing and defending estate litigation matters, including testator’s family maintenance claims, probate caveats and applications for the removal or discharge of executors
About Todd
Todd joined Hicks Oakley Chessell Williams in January 2021 as an Associate, having previously worked at a mid‑tier national law firm and several boutique firms, primarily in wills and estates. Outside of work, Todd enjoys catching up with family and friends, especially spending time with his young nieces and nephews. He also enjoys discovering new brunch spots, baking treats for family and friends and getting outside for long walks.
