Kate Williams
Expertise
Kate is a wills and estates lawyer who enjoys helping clients with their estate planning needs and related estate matters. She acts in estate litigation, including disputes about claims for further provision from deceased estates, and guides clients through the process with clear, practical advice.
Kate also prepares wills, enduring powers of attorney and medical treatment decision maker appointments, tailoring documents to suit each client’s circumstances. She has experience making applications for grants of representation and assisting with estate administration, supporting executors and beneficiaries to finalise estates efficiently and with confidence.

Kate joined Hicks Oakley Chessell Williams as a trainee lawyer in 2015, following an earlier career as a journalist and communications adviser, which underpins her clear and client‑focused communication style.
